6-Week Check In

It was a good weekend. I enjoyed some great running weather Saturday morning, with a slight fog settled over the fall trees and white country fences (thanks for the run, Shanti). We had friends come by for pumpkin doughnuts. And Grandma and Grandpa came to watch the kids sing at church, then sit down with us to squash soup and some yummy new potato dumplings I just learned to make. And of course some kind words from a favorite blogger (see her interview here) put me in an unfallible mood.

So with all that fun, I confess, I got a tad behind on my holiday countdown. But not so far that I can’t catch up. So I plan to do just that over the week.

I also wanted to let you know about some fun things I have coming up.

  • Next week is workshop week for kids’ gifts. If you can pencil me in on your calendar, I’d love you to come share what gifts you plan to give the kids on your list.
  • I have a couple fun hostess gifts to share just in time for you to take to your Thanksgiving hostess (I’ve heard several of you are playing hostess, hmmm, maybe some quick favor ideas too?)
  • And we might have to talk white elephant gifts here one day. So if you’ve given any really clever ones, please let me know.

With 6 left to go, here’s what’s on the holiday countdown list for this week. Crossing my fingers!
