THE LOVELY PACKAGE EXCHANGED, received

09.16.09

I promised to show you a lovely package today, and wow, does this deliver. I got pretty much the most incredible LPE partner ever. Look at what she put together. Incredible, right?

Opening it was a delight, like having the curtains drawn back for the first act of a play, that first moment where everything in its place just so, and you want to take it all in before finding out what’s in store. It was a treat to take out the packages and admire them one by one. Each one with its own lovely details, and sweet little monsters peeking out from everywhere. I decided I would just enjoy it all wrapped for a day. Can you blame me?

But finally I unwrapped each piece this morning, and found some serious goodies waiting for me. A handbound notebook! Crazy-beautiful-letterpress! A monkey bowl! Dangly earrings! And so much more. Thanks, Zara, you are amazing.

Look at this adorable snaggle tooth guy. He and I are quite fond of each other already.

Are you kidding?? You must have self-restraint like nobody’s business! I could never, ever wait to tear into those pretty little packages. I’ve never been very good with surprises…. especially when they’re for me. Just ask my mom about my one and only surprise party! ; {

Thanks for letting me live vicariously through that beautiful package…. Monochromatic colour scheme, delicately and individually wrapped items, pretty repeated motifs…. Perfection in a box! [insert wistful sigh here]

Thanks AmberLee! I went off to Night Owl yesterday and bought myself a copy of it – I can’t believe it was only $20 with shipping!

I made sure to let them know I bought it because of your blog post. :)
