This weekend I am planning to update my handmade holiday checklist. Because Christmas somehow is just over 12 weeks away (i am gasping in astonishment right…now).
Some of you have let me know in comments that, like me, you have OCD tendencies that would make you appreciate the checklist that much better if the dates on each week jived with this year’s calendar. Afterall, I think it is the OCD in me that gets jazzed about a good checklist in the first place. So I will share as soon as it is updated.
And while we are talking about comments, thank you for your amazing comments on yesterday’s post. I was totally wrapped up in reading them. Thanks for the heart to heart.

I’m really hoping you include recipes and your crafts as the weeks go on! I feel like I’ve been making the same things for so many years! I’d love to get some new craft and recipe ideas! Love your site!

I am doing the same thing ! Last year was horrible and I didn’t enjoy it at all. I was so stressed that I even gave up working out (which if you knew me…that is so not me) the entire month of Dec and gained weight. I started shopping and organizing and planning last month for Christmas. Friends and family think I am crazy. I don’t care. I will enjoy it with my family this year. Kids don’t stay young forever and I have to enjoy these years now… LOVE your blog.

im not trying to put any pressure on you or anything but i am wondering if this year’s holiday checklist will start with October 1? cuz im kinda freakin out about getting started. ive been trying SO unsuccessfully to create my own…what program do you use?
Hi melanie! I’m working on getting things posted right now : ) Yes, I’m planning to start on Oct 1, but it gives a little more room from last year, a whole bonus 2 days at the end before Christmas.
I’ve just created this one in adobe inDesign–just my desktop publishing program.
