Teacher appreciation week is here! We spent the weekend decorating a door for my daughter’s class and it occurred to me that it might be fun to share. I’ll include a pic of the door we did last year too, plus a door I snapped a picture of as we walked by. Do you like? What are you doing for teacher appreciation?

p.s. If you’re in need a few teacher gift ideas, stop by here or here or here.
p.s.s. I have missed you all and am quite ready to get back to some more regular posting. We have a few crazy projects in full swing around here, but I am crossing my fingers that after all that is tied up, I will be seeing you more often.

WOW, love these! Really cute!
Thanks, Rachelle! you are too sweet!
Hurry back, I miss you!
We are celebrating all week with little gifts for the teacher. Today I sent in a notepad, ruler and pencil that matches the framed message center/note taker we made them at Christmas.
Thanks, Sherry! I miss you too!!
Love that idea of a message center + accessories! Totally genius. What lucky teachers.
And the “message center” was simple to assemble. One 8×10 frame, painted in teacher’s fave color, and some scrapbooking supplies. I used alpha stickers to spell out notes and created a simple scrapbook layout. Put it all in frame and attached a dry erase marker.
At Easter , I used your idea of mailingin a plastic egg . . the mailman hee was leary that it would go through, but I told him I had been “told” it would.
They (I sent three) went from Western New York to Idaho with only one small cfack in 1 egg . . . SUCCESS!
Thanks for the ideas.
Love those doors. As a teacher I’d be tickled pink if someone did that for me. In our school Teacher Appreciation Week really doesn’t exist. :(
Oh no, that is sad to hear/read. My husband is a teacher so I completely understand how educators are not appreciated for the work and dedication they put in.
Carol, THANK YOU for passing on your knowledge to those kiddos in your school. Thank you for sharing your love of learning with others. Happy Teacher Appreciation week!
Those are totally cool! What a great idea…
WOW! I’d love to be a teacher there :) Cute, cute, cute! That would make my day.
Wow – what a great idea! I used to be a teacher, and the gals I worked with would have really appreciated the time, effort, and cuteness you put into these doors!!!
My church is doing a Teacher Appreciation project this year – making up a plate of cookies for each of the teachers in our little town’s one elementary and one secondary school. It’s been a lot of fun!
That is such a cute idea! I would be over the moon if my students/parents made something for me like that!
We miss you too!
The doors are AESOME. Such a great idea! You are BACK! :)
