Hello everyone. How has your week been? I’m so happy that I managed to come by to say hello. It’s been one of those weeks.
School started yesterday for the kids which means we had lots of details to work out, cute head bands to find and plain lunch boxes to decorate (I fabric glued pictures of Lego Harry Potter to a canvas lunch box, and phew! it totally worked.)
My man’s birthday is around the corner and I’m thinking of taking him to McCovey cove to watch a ballgame by kyak. What do you think?
My SIL and I are up to our necks in chocolate working out new recipes. And then we decided, since we aren’t already making ourselves nuts, we really want to host a cousin camp for all our kiddos this year.
It should be fun.
But that’s not what I’m here to talk about. I’m here to tell you that I have been playing around with decoupaging lately, and my new favorite thing is decoupaged clothes pins. I managed to snap a few pics. How fun are these?

I’m trying to figure out a way to incorporate them in my office. Along with all the awesome orginazation ideas I keep tripping over on pinterest. Hmmm
But in the meantime, they are the perfect quick way to pretty up a paper bag with a little Divine Twine, don’t you think?
And while I have your attention, I wanted to say thank you to all of you who have purchased this awesome recipe book to support the Red Cross (100% of donations go directly to the Red Cross). And if you’re still wanting to pick one up, act now. This week is your very last chance!

I love the clothes pins! Especially since I have a whole package of them. I wonder if you could adhere magnets to the back, and then hang them on the fridge (or in my case, a magnet board I have in my office) and use them to clip up papers?
Holly! Of course, magnets! You’re a genius. I have several teeny strong magnets I bought at target a while back but haven’t found a good use for them, I’m going to see if I can’t stick them on.
Cute! I’m so into maps and decoupaging too. I made some similar clothes pins for my kitchen just like that. Check it out if you get a chance. :)

love, love, love this idea. i’m currently working on some projects using clothespins so this is heaven-sent. thanks!
Love decoupaging! Never thought of clothes pin. Going to try for it my daughter’s birthday bag favors.
LOVE!!! I’m already thinking of 5,000 ways I want to use these…and to think, I almost put my unused clothes pins in the Goodwill bag recently! Whew. Close save!
I live in a pretty remote area, so craft supplies are truly difficult to come by, but even I can get my paws on clothes pins, map paper, and glue. Wonderful idea, and so basic.
I have been on an embellished clothespin kick all year. I like to sand the edges with a fine-grit sandpaper to “age” them.
lisa! thanks for the clothes pin tip! I am running out to get sand paper tomorrow!
I was beaten to it to say magnets! I have added magnet strips to loads of clothes pegs over the years and have bought decoupaged ones but have never made them myself – I now really must try now I have ‘pinned’ your picture – I swear I am a Pinterest addict!
xx
I love those clothes pins. I made some with fabric a while back but I love the map paper! Cute sacks too!
The clothes pins are amazing! Love them. I already have a through ways want to use them. And I like the map clothes pins. I always have special interesting in map. Thank you for sharing!
LOVE the map clothespins! I really need to get my office/sewing room/dump everything here room organized. Maybe this would help!
Hi, AmberLee!
I teach first grade, and I use clothes pins with flat metal thumbtacks (not the tall plastic pushpins) glued to the back to pin students’ papers up onto our bulletin boards. If you have a bulletin board around your house, that’s another way to put your beautifully decorated clothespins to work.
Lindsey! That is such a great idea to glue on thumbtacks. I can’t wait to try. Thank you!!
